Weymouth and Portland Transition Towns

Transition Towns Weymouth and Portland (TTWP) was started in 2008. With around 15 years of setting up and encouraging local projects we are still seeking local groups and people to join us in:

• Supporting local people and communities in reducing our climate impacts.

• Enabling local people to be practical and positive …growing and sharing food, recycling and re-using goods, finding local transport solutions.

• Developing strong resilient communities and sub-groups in local schools and communities.

• Encouraging community–led projects and actions such as Tumbledown Farm, Repair cafe Weymouth and our Climate Emergency Centre.

• Engaging with everyone and sharing our ideas – hosting meetings, celebrations, Autumn fairs and events with music /dance….

With around 160 groups in the UK Transition Towns are supporting positive action in local communities around local issues.
